A host of internationally renowned experts in working with Children and young people are coming to Jogo in the next twelve months

Jogo has a fantastically exciting year ahead. In 2012 we continue to be keynote speakers and workshop leaders at a range of national conferences. We also look forward to continuing to deliver toolbox trainings that to date have received 100% positive feedback, as well as travelling around the country to deliver trainings to a range of organisations. In 2011-2012 we are bringing a host of internationally renowned experts to the heart of the Midlands to deliver for Jogo.

In December 2012 Dr Barbara Mitchels will be delivering a day’s extensive training on Confidentiality and Record Keeping. As a solicitor, psychotherapist and extensively published academic writer, Dr Mitchels is extremely well placed to ensure that both therapists and counsellors have all the latest essential information needed to ensure that their practice is fully compliant to the latest law and legislation in relation to confidentiality and record keeping. There will be plenty of opportunities for questions and discussions throughout the day. We look forward to delegates tailoring the day to meeting their particular needs.

Jogo are proud to announce that for the first time Dr Renee Marks will be bringing the international ISSTD course Working with Children and Young People That Have Experienced Complex Trauma and Dissociation to Northampton.

This intensive four day course offers key research and theories of dissociation in children and adolescents and covers methods of assessment and differential diagnosis across the spectrum of dissociative pathology. At the end of this cutting edge training, participants will have sufficient knowledge to be able to diagnose dissociative symptoms and disorders in traumatised children and adolescents and will have essential knowledge and skills needed to conduct treatment for complex trauma in children and adolescents.

In October of 2012 following overwhelmingly positive feedback, we are proud to announce that Professor Mooli Lahad and Noga Goldring will be returning to Jogo. Professor Lahad is one of the world’s leading experts in integrating arts therapies and psychodrama when working with survivors of disaster and trauma. Professor Lahad served for many years as a post disaster consultant for UNICEF and has written twenty seven books and a host of articles on this subject.  Noga Goldring has over twenty five years experience as a Clinical Drama Therapist in Israel, including ten years working in prison services. Together they blend their wisdom, knowledge and energy to make truly unmissable training events. With three courses over five days there is a wealth of opportunities to learn from one of the world’s leading expert in trauma and resilience.
